Hi, I'm Jana Schenkel
I am a midwife and care provider who wants to connect with you to build your family — from my family to yours. Are you looking for a personal approach, and an advocate and advisor for your care, family planning and pregnancy?
I'm a mother of three (Otto, Sabrina and Dasha) and a wife to a wonderful husband, Richard. I believe midwifery is a calling — to affirm life and provide care for mom and baby in a holistic and respectful way for both.

An initial visit to get to know you and build a plan that fits your body, family, and values.
Care together
Regular, unhurried visits through pregnancy — with 24/7 access to Jana whenever you need her.
Welcome baby
Supported birth at the center or your home, then continued postpartum care for you both.
Birth-center and home birth are available for low-risk pregnancies. The best first step is a conversation — we'll review your health and your hopes together to see whether it's the right path for you.
Water birth is available at the birthing center or at home — we provide blow-up birth tubs if desired. Your partner can be involved as much or as little as you desire. Safety comes first, but we shape labor and care around both of you.
Most pregnancies are an all-inclusive plan: $3,300, with a $300 prepay discount if paid by 37 weeks. Some insurances will take over the cost, but you are responsible to request information from your insurance. On request, a super-bill is provided at six weeks postpartum to help you file. Payment plans are available.
Very. We take a very personal approach and limit our clients, so you'll have phone access to Jana 24 hours a day throughout your care.
Care is offered fluently in English, Russian, and German.
